Sherry Shinhuey Ho

As a child in Taiwan, Sherry Shinhuey Ho was always creating something with her hands, whether it was beading, crafting, or calligraphy. Back then, she had no idea that one day she would discover the joys of painting.

In late 2003, Sherry began her formal art training. She spent more than two years studying with internationally trained American artist and instructor Chris Di Domizio in Atlanta, Georgia.

Many of Sherry's rich landscapes, still lifes, and portraits are inspired by the old masters such as Monet and John Singer Sargent. She is especially fascinated by the interplay of vibrant colors and likes to capture the contrast between light and dark. Sherry mainly concentrates on oil paintings, but does some work with pastels as well.

Originally from Taiwan, Sherry has lived in many parts of the globe. Prior to devoting her time to painting, she obtained her MBA degree from Purdue University in Indiana. She then worked as a project manager for the high-tech industry in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, and Atlanta, Georgia. Now she lives with her husband and daughter in the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago.

Sherry's paintings are for sale, and requests for custom work are welcome.
